Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the BrewScout app for mobile devices, created by Topener, and describes how personal data is processed when you use the service.

Information Collection and Use

The Application may collect information such as the following. Usage information described below is collected only in aggregated or otherwise non-identifiable form, so it cannot reasonably be linked back to you as an individual.

• Your device's obfuscated Internet Protocol address (for example, an obfuscated IP address)
• The pages or screens you visit, including the time and date of your visit and the time spent there
• The time spent in the Application
• The operating system used on your mobile device

The Application may request access to your device's location in order to show nearby places, improve map-related features, and support location-based search and discovery.

The Service Provider may also collect information you choose to provide, including your username, email address, profile image, uploaded photos, and other user-generated content.

Third-Party Access

The Service Provider may use anonymous analytics information to understand how the Application is used and to improve the Application and its services.

The Service Provider may also disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with trusted service providers working on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions.

The Application also uses third-party services that may process limited data as part of operating the service.

• Google Play Services

Visibility of User Content

Unless you have configured your account as private in your profile settings within the Application, content you submit through BrewScout, including profile information, ratings, comments, photos, lists, favorites, and activity, may be visible to other users of the service.

If your account is configured as private, BrewScout will limit the visibility of your content to other users in accordance with those privacy settings.

BrewScout may still use rating information privately for internal purposes and may share rating information with coffee companies in a form that cannot reasonably be linked back to you as an identified or identifiable user, even if your profile is set to private.

Data Retention

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, or object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.

You may also have the right to request a copy of certain personal data you have provided to BrewScout in a portable format, where applicable.

Children

The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact [email protected] so appropriate action can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned with safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes and maintains.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Users are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
